What's for Dinner?

Offline
The sun is finally coming out (it's been raining all morning), and my sister's family is coming over later for the cookout.

We'll be having grilled ribeye steaks (their marinating right now), buttered and grilled corn on the cob, and baked potatoes with all the fixins. I'll be using some apple and jack daniels smoking wood chips mixed together to impart that just right mix of smokey goodness to everything.

We'll also have Pepsi, and CAB to wash it all down.

What are you having?

Great idea posting this early. Think I'll go marinate some meat for the barb-q for later. I'll let ya know what I turn up.

Got some coals yetserday, grill is clean and ready for a year of serving up cholesterol. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/yesnod.gif
Will burn up some flat irons are brats this afternoon. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Got my son and fiancee, and daughter and husband coming over for a little get together this afternoon. I'll char up some steaks on the grill, fry up some chicken cutlets and oven roast a load of potatos. My wife will take care of the veggies.

I plan on cracking open a Chimay Trappist Ale. That will most likely all wind up in me, as the others will most likely imbibe in some of our great Long Island wines. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thirsty.gif

We're headed for a catered affair this afternoon: 25 year anniversary celebration for some friends.
No grillin' for me this Sunday. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Weather looks grim but I marinated some chicken breasts & shrimp for the bar B. Going to throw on some potatoes too. Made a little cucumber, orange pepper salad with balsamic for some veggies. MMM good.

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif Okay, I'm drooling. Hubby is working and I went cruising with Onslow (Jag), stopped and picked up KFC. Hubby due back home tomorrow so perhaps we'll think about grilling this week.

Hope you enjoyed your eats.
