As if I needed to ask but what specialties and unique items are served on your table today?
Happy Thanksgiving.

Deep fried turkey and homemade cranberry sauce. You make the cranberry sauce with a cup of white wine and serve the sauce warm. Delicious!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

We're going to have all the usual stuff today. However, the stuffing will have sausage and apples in it, and the mashed potatoes will have an ungodly amount of garlic in them.

Instead of wine, this year I have several different Trappist Ales we will be drinking. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thirsty.gif

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I consider you guys part of the family.

Just another day at the office here in the Olde Country, dinner was pasta covered in sauce with real Italian sausage and freash baked bread...

But this weekend we'll have the daughter home and do a proper Thanksgiving. Cornbread and cornbread stuffing are specialities and unique here... and the Drambuie Ice Cream is appreciated too.

Sorry I wasn't here to start this one... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We had roasted turkey, potato salad, macaroni salad, 3 different kinds of stuffing, mashed taters, giblet gravy, Mac-n-cheese, cranberry sauce, corn casserole, vegall casserole, green bean casserole... and for desert... Apple pie, cherry pie, chocolate pie, lemon merangue pie, pumpkin pie, ice cream, cool whip, bannana nut bread, and bannana pudding... I'm stuffed!!!!

....BURP!

Looks like a copy of the board we sat. There was additionally a ham, some yams, a linguine with bacon bits, and a mum-in-law home-made pie array looking like a German bakery clearance sale.

Link trainers and Rosarita refries. Had to work 8-8.

Adding to the list are

Mixed veggies
Creamed onoins
Pickled beets
Turnips mixed with bacon & sauted onions
Brussel sprouts.

Did not eat the beets or sprouts though.

Hey I had a couple a peas. More of a meat stuffing gravy & potatoes guy. All the other stuff is just filler. Already had my morning turkey too. Then there's lunch, snack, dinner, snack...
I'll be eatin' turkey for days!

I love sprouts sauted in butter - yummy!
I'm not a fan of beets though.

Unabashed omnivore here. Not much in the way of traditional "food" I'll walk away from.

Yep, I'm looking forward to going back over to Mom and Dad's for lunch today... Sometimes it's better the next day!
