Yesterday I finished laying concrete patio blocks on top if the concrete pad I poured last weekend for a new "swamp" cooler. When I get back from church today I'll be hooking up the new Master Cool cooler. Can't wait to have cooling aging in the house!

Congrats on the work! We need no cooling here today. It is RAINING IN JUNE. Weird!

Should be going over to the biggest local car show of the year, but I'll probably pass. Getting ready to head to Lowes for some plants, and stuff.

Spellcheck police! You mean 'cooling again in the house'. This message will self destruct.

Actually, it's really old tech so aging cooling would be correct. :jester:

Bas, you don't have ~any~ cooling in the house right now?

Funny how they're called swamp coolers but they won't work in a swamp.

I sure wish they did.

Burning alive in this terrible heat. Won't be doing much of anything.

'sposed to be moving the water heater... too hot. :jester:

Did a little Kitchen beautification. new elcheapo base cabinets and a 10 foot piece of counter top. Keeps he girl happy.....

Dang Doc, you sure are particular 'bout the weather. Saw your winter wonderland in the other thread. Like "I wonder when it will get warmer." :smirk:

Went for a drive with 35 other E-types to celebrate the 50th anniversary. Separate post coming.

Having major landscaping done to the house (sprinklers, new grass) so front and back yards are dirt now -- though they did clear a place for the future garage so that's a plus!

Drove the Tunebug down to a friend's shop to try and cure my probable exhaust leak. Couple hours tinkering and no luck (car actually runs a bit worse now). Oh well, at least it's warm today and not raining or snowing like last weekend!

Went to Original British Car Day (34th annual) at the Lilypons water gardens. Cars in our "other british" class included a 1935 RHD Dodge 4-door convertible from AU. Probably the only one in the country. Also a LOMAC Trike, a Marcos, and a Honda made Triumph sedan.

Had a weekend soccer tournament... 5 games sat, 5 games sun and just got back from my mens O30 game... I am whooooooped!

Went to Peoria the spend some time with the guys I used to race bicycles with.
Kind of strange two of us are fat 60 year olds while the other two are trim 60+ that still ride.

Then stopped at The Champagne British Car Festival in Bloomington on the way home.

Randall, your dad won a prize!

Didn't make it to the car show... Did go get some plants. Got a couple of hanging baskets, some marigolds, red bell pepper plant, Burpless cucumber plant(I'm not making that up), and some basil. I also got a beefsteak tomoato plant and greek oregano for my Kellysguy tomato planter. (Pics soon)

Got as far has getting the new cooler on legs on the pad and leveled, and the ducting connected. Then got the motor installed and all new electrical wiring hooked up. Tomorrow just need to hook up the water supply and should be good to go.

Drew's got money burning a hole the year
We've been marshaling our resources for some time. Everything just sorta came together at the same time.
