I have a series v alpine. Can I tell from the vin number what year it was produced and registered so I can apply for lost title?

Welcome
Do a search for Alpine chassis numbers and it will show you the range of numbers and years made.
Most likely 1966 or 1967. Will PM you with more info....

While you'll want to title it for the year of manufacture I expect, back then it wasn't unusual for a car to be titled for the year it was sold. Generally that would be the same but a car kept by a dealer might be noticeably different. My built in December 64 Tiger has a 1966 title and seems to have been a salesman's car for a year or so before sold to the buying public. Not normally done these days, the build model year stays with it now. Just an interesting bit of 1960s trivia..
