So, today it is snowing and bitter, I have to write a report, finish negotiating the cell phone and start my taxes. :frown:

Here is what I would rather be doing.

No you wouldn't, trust me. Beating on old rusty junk for a living gets old.

Interesting to see a right hand drive, old-school hot rod.

It seems more and more folks are returning to the older style 'rods. Much more interest in flathead Fords than I've seen in years. We even had a Moal Roadster flattie appear at our local McDonalds cruise night.

And some of the new interest is from kids; several of my students attend "The Jalopy Showdown" each year (below).
One of my guys is bringing his old Ford rod to JS. It's powered by a Chevy 216 Blue Flame Six.
Not my type of car event, but still, looks like fun.

weird - BTW I used to own a four door version of the Meteor at about 3:30

Nial, THAT is my kinda car show!!! Romp on 'em through the mud! YeeeeHaw! Love that fat ol' Caddy
I'm probably gonna be helping a friend rebuild a 53 Studabaker this summer. Gonna be a down and dirty rod for cruise nights. No trailer queen here.

Speaking of British hot rods... This 1936 Austin Seven Ruby was on display a couple of weeks ago at our World of Wheels show...

Okay, so there isn't much Austin left there, but it is right-hand-drive, the owner of the car moved here to Calgary from England to work at a hot rod shop here...

This car is apparently well known in England by it's nickname Rubellion going back to the late 1970's when it was first built

And... The shop he works for is building a retro lakester race car for the Bonneville salt flats in 2012... A very cool car that was also at the same show...
