What would you check? - maintenance items by date

So now that I truly have too many cars, and I’m a tech nerd, I’m putting together a spreadsheet to track maintenance. I’ve already got a maintenance log, but am thinking about items that I need to remember to check based on age. This was sparked by the realization that the tires on my new-to-me TR3A are 12 years old. Reminds me to check my other cars, and got me thinking about other things that can age out.

Here’s my current list to check. Any other thoughts? Additions/subtractions? Timelines?

Tires
Battery
Transmission drain/refill
Diffs drain/refill
Hoses
Fuel lines
Fuel filter
Brake hoses

Grease if you have fittings

Alternator belts.

Thanks all for the thoughts. I’ve got 2 lists running, this list for the things that should be checked/redone based on date, and another for the annual service work. Good additions here for both my lists.

AAA is on autopay. 😁

So here’s my running list. The maintenance dates tab has some conditional formatting to go yellow 1 year before, and red when the date hits the number of years in the year column. The idea is to be able to look at a glance at what is aging out. Still testing the system and figuring out a reasonable schedule of years. (annual service is set at 2 years so the formatting will only trip after a year, otherwise it would be yellow all the time.)

Then I have a checklist to use every year when I service the vehicle. This is stuff I check or do every year, generally in the spring as we’re getting ready for driving season. Don’t put enough miles on these cars to do this service based on mileage (and not all the speedos/odometers work anyways) so it’s an every year thing.

Yes, I am a proud nerd. But if I want to keep having this many vehicles, I need to be organized and efficient.:driving:
