What will be the real price?

I will have to drive by there tomorrow and look at it! I think that the secretary typed one too many zeros in the price  or maybe they think that they have a "big" Healy!
It looks nice in the photos but 45K??

Beware of dealers who feel they must polish the [too wide] tires black! And is this phrasing for real? The changed design featured squared off styling "which gave the car an appearance not too dissimilar from the 3000."

Or for that matter the phrase "Full Frame Off Restoration" on a uni-body car. Did anyone else notice there are no door seals on the car?

Maybe you ought to drop off the "Orange Crate" while you are there, Bill. See what kinda reserve they will put on it. Wait a minute....Did you sell it already for big money! Seems like I remember something to that effect.

Kurt.

I saw this on one of the websites at 45k before the eBay auction. That seems like a lot of money for a MkII. Now, if it was a Mark IV....:friendly_wink:

I'm sure many of you have followed the market more closely than I have. I don't think I've seen a square Sprite that was restored to the same standard go for more than 16 or 17k, and even that is probably pushing it.

Nope- "Orange Crate" is still here and running beautifully (even if it doesn't look "beautiful") !
Maybe I could talk them into a trade since mine is the newer MkII Midget and theirs is an old MkII Sprite

$45K is absurd, of course. Even $15K is hard to justify, at least to me. You have to remember what else you can get for the price; $45K will get you a very nice BJ8. Or two nice Porsche 912s.

What do you guys think of the all-red interior? Whenever I see one of these, I feel that it's just too much red. Too much of a strong color. I think it would look better with, say, black carpets, and that would pick up the exterior color, too. Anything to break up that intense expanse of red.

Right, Bill, they could give it a good wax and polish and a big reserve and do even better!!;)

Kurt.
