I've got the nose of my Midget down in the weeds now, so what do I use for spacers in back?

I'm going to try just keeping the U bolts and put in a 1 inch spacer, also remove the rubber thing at the front end of each spring for an extra 1/2 inch. (I heard about that somewhere...)

Hopefully that will give me 1.5 inches lowering of the back.

BTW I seem to have gone overboard a bit with the front lowering. The wheels turn fine without me in the car, but when you add the nut behind the wheel (me) a little tire rubbing happens on sharp turns.
 
LOL, any job worth doing is worth doing two or three times. Ask how I know this.

Well I think I'm getting good at replacing front coil springs.
The last one only took me half an hour.
Removing one spacer nut from each bolt should only take 10 - 15 minutes, especially since I used bolts that are about 1 inch longer than I needed. Just loosen all the bolts, take off one nut at a time and then tighten them all back up.
With the air compressor it will be a cinch.

Actually getting all the tools out & jacking up the car and putting everything away again will be the hardest part. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Oh yeah - what do I use for spacers on the back?
 
I'd probably just buy the ready made ones since they already have provisions for the locating pin.
 
Trevor, Do you have a source for the ready made spacers? I have heard that some have moved a few "slats" from the top to the bottom of the actual rear springs itself. ------ Or the other way around.
