Okay. The 79 1500 engine seized. Why, I'm not sure. One cylinder had MUCH lower compression that the other three, so perhaps a piston ring broke. Could be a bearing. I''m not sure. Should I Ebay it out, or sell it as is to someone here, or junk it, or what? I've really got no money to spare to get it rebored, new pistons, etc....I'd give you guys and girls first chance at everything, as you've all been very helpful to a relative newbie. It Did have almost 140k on it with no rebuilding, so I can't complain. I'm really really depressed over this, but spilt milk, and all...

suggestions?
 
Take it apart and see what the prob is, no cost there. Then let us know. Might be cheep.
 
What jack said. I would remove the oil pan and loosen one rod cap at a time and see if that freed the crank up. If not snug that one back and move on to the next rod. Then do the mains the same way. Its very rare that all the bearings lock up or whatever. You might get out with just having the crank turned and getting some new bearings (and I would suggest and oil pump)

ditto...lots of us have non-runners lurking in the barn....but if you've no intent to tinker then definitely put er up for sale or part out (not knowing the rest of shape she's in)!.
