What to do with my seats?

I installed Miata seats in my car a few months ago and I love them. I have been keeping the old seats on the side of my house since then in case I change my mind, but now my mind is made. They are not in good shape, but probably rebuildable. I don't have any space to store them and I am really ready for them to go away.

Would it be a sin for me strip off the vinyl and foam and take them to the scrap dealer?

If so, is anybody here in need of some rebuildable '79 seats?
 
There is a guy on MG exp who lives in North Idaho who is looking for some late model seats

Someone else was looking for a DS yesterday, but they were looking for a '79 in Autumn Leaf.
 
My seats are black... and would probably only be worth messing with to someone who has no seats at all. The vinyl isn't too bad. But the frame is pretty rusty at the bottom.
 
I think i have a set of autumn leaf seats if any one interested..

When I built my original seats back, I bolted on an piece of 11 gauge aluminum across the two center pipes and installed an electrically pumped blow up lumbar support from a Jaguar that I bought off ebay for $15. It makes a world of difference in the ride and comfort. I would recommend this to anyone redoing their seats in one with this type of seats. Just work one of these two switches under the seat to change the pressure.

And the other trick piece might be to add a seat back and seat bottom heater. Of course an alternator is needed to handle an upgraded power demand. But sure would work nice on those frosty days until the heater gets going. In Bugsy's case that is about a mile or two but until then a little chilly going topless in December.
