what size rivets?

Anyone know off the top of their heads what size rivets Triumph used for all the snapper buttons, trim, ID tags,and etc?
 
I have resorted to having a whole collection of Pop Rivets to making sure that I cover all bases. Many times the hole that holds the rivet has been wallowed out because of multiple riveting over the years. Several places have had too-large a hole and I have resorted to using an aluminum washer behind the hole (this was a real challenge inside the door for Tonneau Cover snaps.) and have resorted to using longer than usual rivets or even trimming the head down. So in short, you should have choice of sizes. Most important, make sure that you use all-aluminum rivets, never steel-shanked rivets. Rust.

How's that for a non-answer?
 
If using aluminum rivets into a steel base material-
which metal is the cathode for the galvanic reaction?
I forget. LOL!!

The aluminum will corrode. It's the anode. The way I remember it is "Anode Always corrodes". So the steel must be the cathode.

Hope I remembered that correctly!
 
I remember it by:
"The lesser metal will corrode"

But I never knew which was the lesser metal!
