What size is your nut??

I'm trying to replace an oil seal in my rear axle. What is the darn size of the nut that holds the wheel spindle to the axle??

1-7/8"
It's a very thin nut, when picking a socket, find one with very little chamfer at the front edge.
Some have modified sockets by grinding the front face so that a sharp edge is left for more of a fit.

thanks for the info, It was a 1-5/16" for the rear and 1-1/8" for the front. can't believe it took 4 hours to change one oil seal.
