What Screen Resolution?

I have a reason for asking this, but what screen resolutions do you all use? (To see your screen resolution (at least on a PC), right-click on your descktop (any blank area), then select Properties and "Settings".

Answer the poll question, what screen resolution do you use. Thanks

Oops, Basil, I got mine wrong, I'm actually a 1280x1024.
Sorry!
Thanks!

I use 1280x960 (because it's a proper 4:3 ratio) but there isn't an option for it. So I checked 1280x1024. On my laptop I run 1280x800. On the wife's computer 1024x768.

Hmm, I just listed the choices that were available to me from my own display settings. 1280x960 isn't on my list. Could it be a function of which vid card I'm using?

More likely your monitor, or both.

I run 1280x1024 most of the time - it's "native" on my monitor, but 1400x(something) on my laptop.

Available resolution choices are also a function of the graphics card driver. I've updated drivers before and gotten a whole different set of available screen resolutions. I like 1024x768 on my 17" CRT monitor, because I can see some details in photos, the icons are still reasonably see-able, most websites fit that size, and text is still easy to read.

When I get my laptop soon, It'll have a slightly higher resolution (I'll use whatever is native to the LCD screen for obvious purposes).

Yeah, I wasn't sure what all the possibilities were so I just listed all the choices I have on my desktop settings.
