What not to drive on that first date..

Hilarious! I was interested in their opinions on the Mini Cooper driver. Sounds like one of those ladies has been in a car with someone who didn't know how to drive stick correctly.

Ok so I know this ain't “PC” to say this - but I find it extremely unsettling (scary even) that only the two LARGE chicks even mentioned anything about of putting out. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif

Hi I'm Greg. Just so we don't waste our time, I'd like to know what I get for dinner and a movie.

Ah, the subtleties of dating. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazyeyes.gif

Did they TRY to find the dumbest sounding women in Chicago?

"So, it's like, good on...energy...saving..."

They need to do a survey on the types of women us guys want riding shotgun... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

I actually sat through that thing! And the Miata got the best ratings.....

If ownership meant that I had to date any those chicks, I'd be selling the Miata - regardless of its merit as an automobile - and buying a minivan post haste...

They did pick some winners to interview, didn't they?

funny... While out with some friends I got to talking with a couple of women, and they asked my friend's friend what he drives, and when he said "Miata" the girls had a completely ~different~ reaction. Seems, out here, Miatas are a bit too girly... Oh yeah, the same goes for the BMW Z3.

I agree. Most women I know like Minis but find Miatas too girly. That's probably why Mazda redesigned the Miata to be larger and more aggressive-looking.

For the most part I agree wiht you Steve.

Sure the recent facelift of the MX-5 is a vast improvement over the previous Miata. But I still think it is in dire need of some more Y chromosomal DNA. But preferably not the confused Richard (I’m a pony!) Simmons DNA most small car manufactures seem to use when starting hormonal treatment. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

I can add my $0.02 and say when I was internet dating, I got one e-mail from some girl wanting to know more about me and she mentioned she thought the souped-up, "fast and furious" ricer cars were sexy. Needless to say, I didn't get a reply back. Might have something to do with mentioning that my fun car was an MG Midget and the daily driver is a Honda CR-V /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif. Ah well, no loss there.

You prolly lost her with "MG Midget". Not too many of the folks that are into that "scene" really know what any MG is. However, I have found that a lot of them can appreciate a well sorted classic when they see one, and really "dig it" when they see the classics out on the road keeping up with them /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

Stewart and I had a Mitsu Lancer Evo 8 (or maybe it was a 9?) following us around Angeles Crest Hwy yesterday. Not once did that driver make any indication that they wanted to go faster than us. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

I don't know about that, but it sounds like some of most shallow thinking women they could find. Unless it's an unroadworthy, unsafe wreck. There's a heck of a lot more important things to consider than what kind of car the other person drives.

Yep, same around here - Z3 is a feminine car...Z4's another thing though.

Ummmmmmmmmm! If a woman only wanted to date me cause of what I drive, be it a vette or a miata. My reaction to that situation would be. Get your SWEATY derrière off of my seat, out of my car and out of my sight. Shallow people really turn me off!

I love the M coupes. Gorgeous cars. Then again I'm probably (by the sound of it) the only one here who kinda likes the Z3 roadster. I like it more than the Z4 version. Curves appeal to me more than angles.
