Very loosely!!!! wot no OH cams? I suppose it is supposed to look like a "special bodied" SS100??? Taint no Jag though!! Says '58, that would have to be an XK series for that year if it were a Jag! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif:eek:

Another case of ebay disinformation!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif

Cliff, if it's not too far from your home, I would be tempted to go and talk to the guy to see if he really thinks he has a Jag!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

I wouldn't discount this car too quickly. If I lived near it I'd do some research and possibly go look at it.

Jag specials like these were raced in SCCA events with good success in the 1950's. For example, take a look at This JCNA page .

A different car, but there were others....

The eBay car appears to have Jag instruments from the fifties, rack & pinion steering, and a few other Jag bits. Obviously, the engine isn't a Jag. The frame could be Jaguar. The rear end looks a little "late 50's" and body quality isn't bad if you ignore the nose and some apparent butchering.

It almost looks like a car that was well built originally and then fell in with bad company.

I love the hood hinges.

Its an old fiberglass kit car of some type

"Some type" says it all.
