Actually, I already own my real holy grail - if only I can ever Get it back on the road!

With all that work and as pretty as it is, WHY would ya want it "out among 'em"?!?!

Re: What is Your "Holy Grail"?

I would have a Citroen 2CV, a BMW Isetta, a Morgan Trike, a Messerschmitt rag top
or may be a Charles Taylor One Wheel Vehicle.
And to get from point A to B quick it would be
a Jet Powered Sinclair C5.
It would be a gas to have these.
Of course it this point in time I would settle for a garage big enough
to fit and fix the few cars I have now.

Re: What is Your "Holy Grail"?

Well, for the "common" stuff, I would just love an original Ford GT 40 or Porsche 917 LM, but for the dream stuff, this:-

My Holy Grail- Surviving to enjoy retirement

Re: What is Your "Holy Grail"?

I may be easy to please, but I always wanted a DB5. I always loved the look of the Bond car.
Don't need the gadgets though as I get myself into enough trouble on my own.

A nice MGA
and the crown would be my old cortina back!

I'd like to have my very first car back - a 1963 Pontiac Catalina. What a boat! But what a nice car on the hi-way!

Re: What is Your "Holy Grail"?

Brian - where'd you see that car?

Re: What is Your "Holy Grail"?

"Holy Grail" stuff would be truly desirable: a Ferrari 275 or a Toyota GT from the '60s; a D-Type Jaguar or a road-going Lotus 11/Elite from the 50s.

Practicalities would be more "tin cup" than "Holy Grail", though- An MGA or XK for the '50s, an Alfa Montreal or 65 fuelie 'Vette from the '60s....

Actually Tony, I just copied that picture from Wikpedia. I have only seen one (red) one. If I ever won something like the lottery. I would start a AMX collection..... Along with my love for LBC's I harbor a fondness for AMC.

Perhaps this thread is wandering into realm of faith...

I would not mind having the Toyota 2000 Convert that was in the James Bond Movie (the name of the Movie escapes me, but it was what and driven by a Japanese girl). I think that example in the movie was the only convertible Toyota 2000 - the rest being coupes.

Re: What is Your "Holy Grail"?

The " Holy Grail", how about just the Bond Girls!!
