What is your daily driver?

1974 bronco half-cab!

View attachment 33141mine is very original with lots of new parts. i had a hard time finding one that had not been cut!

2009 Volvo S80. The last of the Ford owned Volvos. I'm a Ford retiree.

I have a 2009 Jaguar XF. My current method of operation is to buy low mileage cars about 2-3 years old, keep them for 2-3 years and sell them before they become 'too old' and hopefully, before they start requiring major expenditure. I'm about to sell the Jag and find a substitute. I nearly pulled the trigger on a 2006 Porsche 997 that had just had a full engine rebuild costing ÂŁ11,000. It didn't fit my above plan but I've never had a Porsche. However I decided, that with one toy already in the garage i didn't need another as I need my car to be my daily driver. Practical considerations ruled it out in the end as there is no room for golf clubs and my wife wouldn't drive it, which she'd need to do if I had to use her 4 x 4.

So I'm now searching for the right BMW 3 Series M Sport Coupe in Alpine white with red leather. If I find the right car I'm flexible on petrol v diesel and auto v manual as I only do 6000 miles a year and not much town driving.

Mine is a 2009 Audi A4 Avant. Love it.

'08 Volvo C30. Fun, fast car. Sold my '92 Volvo 245 (estate) after having it for 16 years and 225k trouble free miles. Sad to see it go. Big difference in performance between those 2 cars  Took me a while to learn to keep my foot out of the gas on the C30.
Chevy Silverado for other duties.

Some neat choices, including the Honda Insight, Bronco half cab, Porsche 968, and Volvo C30. Oh and last but not least a B/GT. Excellent, had one as a DD in college, but that was 30 years ago, great 3 season car, hot as an oven inside when it got over 75 degrees out on a sunny day.

My current daily driver is a 99 Maxima SE with a 5 speed, bought it off ebay site unseen about 12 years ago with about 40000 miles. Didn't really have to do anything to it til it hit 100k, since then clutch, struts, starter motor, heater blower and some sensors and coil packs (a common issue on these cars).

I have often thought of replacing it but a) I have been easily been able to afford the needed repairs and b) ownership is still a lot cheaper than a new car or car payment leaving me more $$ for the fun old stuff.

The Healey shares the garage with my 2007 XKR DD, my wife's '74 TR-6 and hopefully soon, an E-Type. Her XF has to live outside under the carport!

I live in Colorado which affects my choices......2006 Infiniti QX56 all-wheel drive for running around/towing/hauling and certainly winter, wife's 2009 Audi A6 Quattro with supercharged V6 (outstanding car!) whenever I can, a much modified 1999 Corvette as my summer DD (bought it new) 525 hp... and my AH whenever I can once the snow/sand is cleared off the roads. ... for the occasional go-to-dinner or out for coffee, 1937 MG TA roadster.

Cheers,
Steve

Yup, me too. After driving MGAs in the winter, the MGB-GT was a god send.

My dd is a Fiat 500 Abarth, wife's is a BMW 330xi. Of course the Bugeye gets driven occasionally too.

2007 Audi A3 3.2 Quattro

Never would have believed that nevets and I were separated at birth...

2006 Audi A3 3.2 S-Line (quattro)

Fast (this ain't the 2-liter turbo; it's a normally aspirated 6), handles very well, and love the shifting options:
- Auto
- Sport Mode (higher shift points)
- Manual (push the lever forward or backward)
- PADDLES!

Only british cars in my garage!!!!!

S-type and XK Black coupe

Pete

Currently a 2003 Subaru Legacy Sedan. Wife has a GMC Acadia, this is the family car.

Looking to maybe get next week a 2014 Ford Fiesta 3 cylinder/1.0 L turbo. Car is fairly hard to find but dealer found one and is bringing it in so I can check it out.

1999 Clownshoe. A really fun little car to drive in the canyons.
Pretty much the same as Greg; at least one of them is a clownshoe (though I really haven't taken to calling my 1999 BMW ///M Coupe that yet...). The other two (2) regular drivers are almost the same, just topless versions!

1999 BMW ///M Rdstr (black) and 2001 ///M Rdstr (steel gray):

My 1999 BMW ///M Coupe (aka clownshoe) is the most recent acquisition to the fleet. I put a Eurosport Twinscrew Supercharger on it for a previous owner about eight (8) years ago, and this thing still pulls like a freight train (my black ///M Rdstr is now also fitted with an ES/TS):

In all fairness, my Healey is still a regular driver too, if just not daily; it's part of the rotation with the other three (3) cars, I just don't necessarily drive somewhere every day!

A good percentage of us are BMW owners, I see.
There are even more on here that haven't posted; I know that Johnny has a Z4, and there were enough Healey/Z3 and/or Healey/X5 owners that we could justify a whole sub-set forum (my wife's had a succession of X5s, almost since they were introduced).

I understand the Healey/Z3-Z4 attraction, as it's the closest modern (laughs to self__6-cyl Z3s now nearly 2-decades old__but certainly modern compared to the Healey) sportscar that was on the market. So if you liked the formula: front engine/rear drive, (approximately) 3-litre engine, long hood/short deck, TORQUE, then the BMW 2-seaters carried on where the Healey stopped. Throw in some modern safety and comfort elements, and it's how the Healey might've evolved

Yup, me too. After driving MGAs in the winter, the MGB-GT was a god send.
I too used MGBGTs as daily drivers for well over two (>2) decades. I even used them as service vehicles for a couple of the companies I worked for (systems integration, and process plant start-ups). Not too surprising; I also did electrical service calls with the Healey!

This one caught a little bit of snow overnight!
