I'm not up on my XKE details, so I can't determine if it's a Series I, I-1/2 or II, at least without looking at the original hood/hdlts.

Looks like it might be a Boss 9 under (?) the hood, so another thumbs down (screwing up the XKE and robbing a Boss 429 engine from its rightful chassis).

To each their own, and clearly a lot of craftsmanship went into this conversion/custom, but it's not for me

From here the engine looks a bit like a Ford 429 big block, don't know about the rest of the, umm, "car".

Regardless, there's a whole lot of work in that thing. :yesnod:

Appears to have started as a series 1, has the 3 wiper spindles. Not really my cup of tea either although whomever did it does good work.

I've seen this car very much up close and the craftsmanship is second to none. Too bad it was used in the destruction of two or three classic cars. The owner was not around for questions or comments.

It is always possible the car or cars used were all basket cases anyhow so why not?
