Picked up a bunch of Triumph parts and i found this seat (and half of the other one). I have no idea what they're to. I was thinking Spitfire but these seem more bucket like. I want to fix them up for my GT6+

Well indeed they are. I just found a picture.
Any chance that there is reproduction parts for them? I just checked all my sites and didn't find anything.

I don't know what picture you found, but I have never seen a TR3 (or TR2) seat that looked like that. Besides the upholstery being wrong, the frame is also wrong for TR2/TR3.

I don't know what they fit, but they are not TR3.

I gues they are sprite seats. Can't wait to get these in the GT6, but with those prices wont happen for a while.

Wait is the seat kit everything or just the upholstery?

They look very much like E-type series I.

I'm not absolutely sure, but it looks like the seats I had in my Spitfire Mk. 1. I sold that car in 1994, so the mists of time are clouding the memories, but those seats looked like this one, were made the same way....

Scott,

The backs looks similar to an early Spitfire seat but the seat bottom cushion is very different (Far thicker).

sure looks like whats in a sprite I know about.

I'm from the other side, and rebuilt a pair of these earlier in the year. they are Sprite Mk1, or bugeye seats.
This is the driver's seat, as it is adjustable forward and back. This is what it looked like before I took it apart, complete with the rat droppings.

PS, don't throw them away, as they are getting a bit rare now, especially the frame. The bottom cushion s/m is available as a reproduction.

They are sitting in my basement now waiting to get restored. For sure will hang on to them

Hi Folks,

The frame (Or whats left of it); Surely do resemble the same or similar frame on my `59Bugeye. The upholstery pattern also would be correct for a "Bugeye".

They were also used in the Mark II Sprites. When they went to the Mark II Midget, the seats got thicker.
