Just for curiosity, I looked for Bazaar, Kansas on Google Earth and discovered that the crash site is about 3.7 miles southwest of the (town, more like spot on the map) of Bazaar, KS. It's out in a field in the middle of nowhere.Knute Rockne died in 1931, before the 32 Studebaker/Rockne went for sale. He had just been appointed by Studebaker as director of marketing. Interesting that Rockne's death, in the crash of a Fokker F-10, spurred Douglas and Boeing to create an all-metal airplane, safer than the Fokker. Their research led to the Boeing D-247, and the Douglas DC-3 (DC-1, DC-2, DST).
