& does anyone have one that's not cracked?

I know it came off my '63 engine/transmission somewhere but for the life of me can't figure it out...it appears to have been painted blck at one time but if that's correct, its the only black thing on the engine.

oooh I love these games...

It is an exhaust bracket from the bellhousing bolts?

...nope

Oh... so I was right? I sent that message, then thought it was a 948 only item. Looks like it has a flywheel bolt in it.

HAH-HA! That's it...mine's cracked so guess I'll just weld it & grind it smooth.

Next question: What color should it be?

I have no idea what color it should be, but I'd paint it with high heat black.

Should be black and is bolted to the bottome and side of the bell housing. Supports the tail pipe.

Jack - is there one in the box of parts you got from the fella with the Midget who was leaving the area?

Yep - the Bugeye exhaust bracket that I thought I needed\wanted and searched one out on E-bay, not thinking that I swapped in a five speed and the bracket will not bolt up as intended. Stupid purchase number...Oh whose counting.

Will check, just got home with them. Got some B stuff for you as well when you get here in Aug.

Those pieces are getting hard to find!! Tony, as i recall there should be another piece to that which bolts to the two bolts and supports the exhaust pipe. Those pieces are the ones you need to keep the pipe to manifold flange from leaking!!!!

Now that I understand it, yep, I've got the other piece still on the old exhaust.

Moss also carries the pipe bracket.
