TR2/3/3A What is this bracket for ?

Hi all, I found a bracket hanging loose behind my left front wheel. I can't figure out what it is for. Can someone please identify it? There is not one on the left side.

I agree. You're missing the spacer/distance piece and the bolt has been replaced with a wrong shorter one. Should be a longer bolt with a shoulder and a "sleeve" between the bracket and bumper mounting bracket. As seen in Pat's photo. If I remember correctly, that bolt goes all the way through the frame...but I won't swear to it.

You can see the cylindrical spacer that allows the bracket to go over the lip on the bumper bracket. And, yes, it does go through the frame. Good luckl
 
OK. Thanks everyone. I don't recall taking this apart, but it looks like I have some parts to locate. I couldn't figure out how it went on by itself.
