What is the worst car you ever owned?

a 2002 Subaru WRX. :madder: It was a fun enough car to drive but that dang thing was always needing repairs. I guess my first hint that it was problems was when the passenger side mirror fell off on my way to work two days after I bought it and I bought it brand new. Just about every time I brought it in to the dealer to have the oil changed or for routine service I would get the inevitable call from the service department that I needed a gasket, a sensor or some other important part replaced. The check engine light was always lit on that car. Total junk. Now I know where the workers from British Leland moved to after BL went under. They all got jobs at the Subaru factory.

My first TR6. A demonic old cur. Was banned from a friends driveway because everytime I would go to help him with his cars, it would break down causing us to spend the day fixing it.

At purchase, we transferred title and registered the car, the license plate's first three letters were TBD. My initial thought was accurate...Too Bad Doug.

Probably the '74 Mustang II that I used our "down payment"
money for our first (& only house).Installed the thermostat
backwards.Nice looking car,but.....
The best 2 vehicles that we've owned have to be a 1979-
Ford Fiesta,& a 1993 Ford Aerostar extended van. Both GREAT vehicles!.

It's a gift.

Or an illness, depending on your outlook.

This is what the pros think.

94 Pontiac Grand Am. It was a huge POS and when it died I didn't feel bad to see it go.

My first car. It was a black 1989 Lincoln Town Car. When my parents bought it for me for $1100, it had 200,000 miles on it. The radio was ripped out by someone using a screwdriver. Now that I think back, the interior was a grotesque red velour interior.

For the first year and a half that I owned it, I drove it pretty slowly and like the old person who bought it back in 1989. The car was decent on gas considering the 5.0 V8. But by January of my senior year in high school, I wanted to see what the old girl could do.

Me and my friends raced it behind the local outdoor mall, and with a Town Car, it was amazing to get it up to 65 and hold on for dear life as the car gracefully managed the ins and outs of the back parking lots. My friends also decided to whale on the horn when I was out of the car, and then they were confused as to why the car wouldn't start. I had to explain the fact that the horn is connected to the battery, and therefore the starter. I even managed to do 360 turns with it. Two were by accident, because me and my 14 year old friend didn't quite understand the qualities of sand. I was training him in driving, and he turned out pretty good. He is pretty good, he's the only person besides my mom where I can fall asleep when he's driving.

For some reason, I was convinced to take the car off-roading. Needless to say, it got stuck everywhere and was like those images of the Eastern Front, where 12 Germans had to pull a 2.5 ton truck out of a mud quagmire. Except that in New England, dirt roads are rock gardens...

My friend also managed to get it on two wheels going along a country road in Voluntown, CT. I don't know how he did it, but he did.

I eventually put a POS CD player in it, but because my dad didn't want to do a proper job rigging up the speakers, he stuck two 70's house speakers in the back seat. We eventually threw those out of the door, because only the driver's window worked. They also had an obsession to remove all the interior trim and body panels, I cared at first, but after I received $5000 from a scholarship, I didn't care.

They even managed to remove the roof cloth, the rear seat (yes, the entire rear bench seat), the interior roof cloth, the rear door interior panels, the floor in the backseat (you could see the fibreglass) and all of the dash board. I also cracked the windscreen on my last day of ownership.

There were alot more stories, but they mostly involve the police and I don't care to share. My point is, although my first car was by and far my worst, I loved it the most and had the most experiences in it.

I was given a 1974 Mustang II that my mother owned. Absolute worst car I have ever owned and I have had some doozies. No wonder my parents gave it to me for free
