Proper Bugeye marker light plinth is smooth, without the raised center ridge as pictured above. Just sayin' in case the car is a Mk1 and it matters to you.
 
They don't wear out and flea-bay used to be inundated with them. If you can't find one I'm sure I have one somewhere. Try britishmaster's.

LOL - I've been watching British car shows lately (Car SOS and Wreck Rescue). I love the colorful British slang. My new favorite new word is "Knackered". 1st two episodes of "Wreck Rescue" are about a 20 yo British girl restoring a knackered sprite.
