Does anybody know the correct Lucas part number for a pre TS 15000 control box with the the screw on terminals? The one that came with the car is 37182H. I need to get an new one and have been watching ebay and see many for sale with the part number 37183. Are they interchangable or not? They look the same. You can get a NOS 37183 for around 50 to 70 bucks, a 37182 just sold for $202.00.

The 37182 control box superceded the original 37138. There appear to be only minor differences between the 37182 and 37183 control boxes; at worst, you might have to adjust one ever so slightly?

If -- at the moment -- you're more concerned with functionality than originality, you could probably use either a 37283 or 37290. Both again are essentially the same, and both differ only from the others above in that they use Lucar terminals on the connecting wires rather than the screw terminals of the older regulators.

The Moss catalog lists the control box for the TR2 & early TR3 (screw connectors) for $44.95.

If you have an old one you can just reuse the old cover on the new replacement (new one will likely not have the embossed 'Lucas' & 'England'). That's what I did.
