TR2/3/3A What is the best way to try and restore the plastic windows on a vinyl soft top?

I'm going to use the TR3 late into the Fall this year so will need the soft top on the rainy days. The one I have has some heavy fading on the plastic windows and I was wondering if it is possible to get them cleaned as much as possible for better visibility? Also the white vinyl could use a good clean. What to use on that?

I use 303 protectant on vinyl tops, which works well. They make some for clear vinyl but I’ve never used it…

I used glass wax(pink can) to clean up a badly hazed convertible windows and side screens.

It made them much better and viewable. Not concourse condition but definitely driveable and safer.

Use a cleaner (Poorboys Professional Polish) or soft polish first to remove dirt and oxidation.
Do this on both sides.
303 is good as protection, a dressing for rubber and vinyl (Poorboys NaturalLook) will keep it flexible.

Meguiars do a polish for exactly this, vinyl windows. It is called Meguiars Plast-Rx Clear Plastic Cleaner and Polish
While other polishes can improve things, this actually is the best approach. Some other manufacturers make similar polishes specifically for this purpose.

Doing the rear window with polish, tape the fabric edges so as not to get the polish on the fabric, especially if you have a Stay Fast top! It's very hard to get the polish off Stay Fast material. :rolleyes2:
