I have had an AC-powered (corded) impact for years. Not always as convenient as a battery-powered one, but a million times more convenient when the battery is dead.Anyone that does NOT have one of the slick battery powered impacts should start dropping
hints for Christmas.....and start being nice!!

Hello What cars do you currently race? Did you ever race a TR3? How modified was it? How did you like how the car steered and cornered on the track? KarlMainly got mine for the race team, but love it now as it has proven its worth !

For the 59 TR3 did you go with an anti sway bar in the front and upgrade the suspension? We raced a Tr7 in Chump/World racing League .This car had a built 1.8 Miata with Miata trans and sus.
The front sus was Tr8 with Wilwoods. The balance was perfect. Corner weighted 480(give or take 5lbs)
I was able to field a team with some advertisement $ through the business. These days are now past and
I am enjoying my retirement.
That said, racing a Tr3 was a dream I have had for years. If a guy was to do one to compete today ,you may as
well start with a Tr4a/Tr6 frame. This would have to be stiffened a lot. You would dump a Metric Crap Ton of money
into it just to be a backmarker.
The only Tr3 motor I ever did to racing tune is now in my 59. It made almost 160Hp at the crank with a comp
ratio of 9.1/1, 87mm pistols, steel rods Major head work Big cam deep nitrated crank polished and balanced.

Yah I love the sound of that four bangerIt has the 4a upgrades and willwoods . The sway bars are to me of limited use on a tr3.
There is nothing solid to mount them to (bumper bars ?) The 59 is just for street any way.
No sound quite like a good 2 liter hitting full song(6500) with the top down and an open road/
