Canadian Tire is the local auto part (and everything else) big box store in Canada. When I was putting Ms Triss on the road I went in looking for a fanbelt. - I had the old one so we measured and tried out many - finally chose one, got it home and it didn't fit. Took it back, different employee - older woman says, "let's try." 3 minutes later, having pulled up a '76 MG Midget on the computer, I had the belt and was on my way. Go figure.

I often explain that "......it's a replica of a car you've never heard of." :friendly_wink:

But last week I did have an older British guy pull his Miata into my driveway and ask if he could sit in it? This is not a car of an introvert. :rolleye:

When she saw my TR a friends wife asked if it was a "Smart Car". He and I answered in unison, "no it's British."

Nope, too thick.

The battery box has an odd shape. The original battery size, whatever it was, is NLA.

A lot of guys use 51R, which typically fits easily. But they just seem awfully small to me.

Size 56 is popular but with variations from manufacturer to manufacturer some are a snug fit and some don't quite fit.

I wanted an Optima and found a yellowtop D35 almost fits. I was able to fab a plastic spacer that got it to fit perfectly.
