What the English commonly call adjustable band clamps, or hose clamps. "Zebra" brand makes some nice narrow ones wot'll work well on that boot.

Nah, remember I bought one of those lock wire twisters, so I just had to use it with shiny stainless steel wire. Now that is bling.

I wonder if I could have used the tool and wire to hold the birds legs and wings in place?
