What ever happened to Project Kimber?

Howdy gang:

Whatever happened to Project Kimber (or was it the Kimber Group)? They were the group of investors put together to buy the MG name, but ended up (if I recall correctly) in deciding to buy the Smart Roadster tooling to revive an affordable AC sports car? Always curious to see what happens with those bold plans. And then remember HFI? I recall that they bought the Healey name and were going to make a modern 3000 and perhaps even a modern car inspired by the Bug-Eye. Ah, 2006 was a heady year for British auto revival.

The official Project Kimber Site shows no entrys after 19 Jul 2006.

I'd say it's a dead issue.

Edit: So, who's really left building cars in England??

Morgan??

BTW, I just noticed on Morgan's website, that the centennial will be in 153 days.

In the late 70s I paid a 25 pound deposit on a Morgan in case I won the football pools and could afford to buy one at the end of the 7 year wait list. Some day I hope to have enough disposable income to go and get it.
