No, didn't get an answer to that yet. Or if/when the engine was rebuilt, what carbs, manifold, headers, exhaust system, how old the tires are etc. I emailed him a list of questions.

...As for rust on the car there is none that we could find.

My $0.02: That's an interesting comment from the seller...since there's obvious rust (not "dirt from being stored") in several of the photos. I'd be cautious based on this characterization. That said, it doesn't look bad, based on the photos. Some non-stock-looking stuff on the engine, as another poster commented.
I've looked at the pictures closely and re-read his email and decided something about this car just 'isn't right.' It's nothing I can put my finger on exactly, but I'm not going to pursue this one any more, unless the bid stays VERY low. I am going to follow up on the LE near me though.
Something isn't right alright! Why would a '71 have a single carb? I'd guess it's because that's an engine out of of an Austin Marina!! As far as the automatic...I'll bet that came from a Marina as well. The shifter doesn't look like an MGB automatic shifter to me. I could be wrong though, because I can only recall seeing one in pictures....
As Joe said, the carb isn't right and the engine should be maroon, not black. I'd suspect either a Leyland Marina engine (as he said) or a later model B single-carb engine. Both are far less powerful than the stock twin-SU engine. And that automatic shift console is totally wrong, never appeared in an MG. This one looks like what my Dad used to call "spare parts flying in formation".
i saw a nice looking rubber bumper "B" for sale at a tire shop on South Penn in Oklahoma City last weekend. Asking 6K, I didn't see any rust, body looked good and paint was a shiny orange. can go back for a phone number if interested.
