What does everyone do for the almight $?

Another RPI Alumni! I said before, they're everywhere! I'm only a 8 days from official alumni status, and definitely looking forward to that.

software development and project management. sure is nice to work with my hands when I'm not on the clock.. Spending all day trying to optimize biotech information analysis, and corral computer programmers and scientiest can lead one to drink, or worse, take up lucas electrics diagnosis as a hobby!!

Seriously though, nothing beats having a quirky MG to drive around with the top down.. and now my 3 1/2 yr old daughter hangs out in the passenger seat when I have the dash apart, or am chasing down wires in the steering column..

Everyone should have an MG project.

Hi, I'm a Professional Firefighter. I also have a photography business on the side. Mack /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Mecanical Engineer. I design exterior lighting systems for Helicopters and Biz-jets. Trying to work into LED and HID technoogy. And if I get HID down, I'm curious to see what I could do on my cars.

Hmmm? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif Ripple, Boons farm or Mad Dog 20/20?

I'm not above admitting that in my (waaaaaay) younger day, I caught more than a few good buzzes on those fine wines aforementioned. Now however, I normally pay more than $5 for a bottle. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Odd thing is, a bottle of either and it's still the same buzz. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

BON VIVANT!

Dave, just the man I need! Just installed an attic fan today. It's noisy!!! Any quiet ones out there? Or is this out of your specific area?

[/ QUOTE ]
They're NOISY! We have had one for years. I love it, but it's a noisy thing! We have ours in the garage though, and the noise inside the house is minimal. Friends have one in their hallway and it's downright annoying!

Congrats Matthew on your graduation. It is true you run into fellow alumni all over the place!
Did you bring your MG up to Troy? I imagine there are some nice cruises going East toward Mass or Vermont and out toward Grafton Lakes.

But they do cool the place down, especially here in the sunny South. Open up some windows, turn the attic fan on and some nights you almost need a sheet.

Yes, there are great LBC road all over the place up here with twisties and views to match. Even the weather is good for LBC's. Never too hot, tho' the winter sure is long. Matt, are you still living up here? I live in Clifton Park and I"m a member of the ATA.

Aloha All,

Looking at the great variety of responses, we have men and women as members who are engineers, scientists, artisans, educators, craftsmen etc. Although not addressed, I suspect there is also a great range in ages. The variety is the synergy that makes British Car Forum such a great resource to us all. Good job Basil, for creating it and your efforts in administering it. Mahalo plenty!

Safety Fast,
Dave

I have worked for PEPSI for the last 24 years. I am currently the Director of HR. I own a 1980 MGB (with 14,000 original miles) and a 1969 MGC-GT. Looking forward to retiring in a few years and really enjoying my MGs.

We actually have a very diverse portfolio, but Boones paid the bills for years. I have a work trip to Napa next week for some advanced wine appreciation classes.

computer programmer for a big oil and gas company

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe you could pull some strings and talk your company into becoming one of Baz's sponsors? I'm sure we all could use some sort of “discount” when we visit the pump to fill our LBCs. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
