I worked out a pretty good deal on a sweet '73 Tr6. I don't think the
owner knows that much about them but he seems to think there's a problem
with the differential. (It whines he says.)
I took it out for a spin and it seems to shift fine with reverse. I must drive it
75 miles to get her home. I thought maybe I'd fill the differential with
gear oil or at least check it.
The owner says he doesn't know if it'll go that far with that whine.
Is the differential as easy to fill as my Tr3. (Unscrew the plug and pour it in.)
I do plan to have a professional look at the differential but I think I might
be able to figure it out.
I'm hoping its just a leak and maybe a new gasket might solve it.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
