What Do These Switches Turn On?

While exploring my '59 100-6 a bit more today, I came across two switches under the dashboard. One is a black plastic sliding on/off switch that is mounted at the bottom edge of the dash, below the overdrive switch that's on the dash. So it's sort of hidden. Is this stock? If so, what does it operate?

Second switch I found is a silver toggle switch that's on the bottom of the Smiths heater box. I'm guessing this is for the heater fan?

Oh, also the cable that is attached to the Min to Max sliding switch for the heater is cut about halfway to whereever it was supposed to be connected to. Can someone tell me where this cable should be connected at it's other end?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
On the top of the black heater box, there is a valve that turns the flow of coolant on and off. The Min-Max slider cable gets screwed into a cable stop on that valve. This is the best photo I have of that area. Hope it helps.

Correct, the under dash slider switch is for the dash lights. The other switch appears to have been added to replace the fan motor switch, which is normally operated by pulling out the slider knob on the heater panel. Do you have a owners manual?
