Had 12 (including the new grand daughter...13 days old) over, hosted Christmas Breakfast for all, tore it all down, laid the pre-arranged tracks, spent the next 4-1/2 hours delivering packages by train (family tradition....when the kids host, I bring trains and track), then drove an hour north to the BIG family gathering and dinner!
Got some stogies, a new cordless phone (just in time), some neat books and booklets, new Submarine Veteran's ball cap, an 1861-1961 celebration book from my hometown (and I was there in 1961!), and a coffee mug for the FB group I'm on, Old Fogies from Bishop.
Got my ironworker son a US Made vise....cannot believe he didn't have one....took a long time to locate...the guy who had it didn't find it until Thursday......have to have one, as we now get to put the 3/4 race 50 Merc together, and putting pistons on rods and rings on pistons without said vise is....difficult, at best.
Oh, and a new DVD player......the ancient one I inherited won't play all tracks of some of the DVD's I have received!
