What color is this car?

I am probably broaching an age old Healey question, but the car I am restoring is this color and I would like match it fairly closely. The picture is not of my car, and I do not know the owner. it was a picture off the internet.

So.....

Old English White (Ditzler Code WT-3)
Snowberry White (Ditzler Code WT-4)
Pale Primrose (Ditzler Code YL-12)
Ivory Something???

The color seems to have a light yellow hue, not beige. A little cream type color.

Any modern color equivalents?

All suggestions or opinions truly appreciated.

Thanks you all for your help!!!

I vote for OEW. I never heard of another white on a 3000. Primrose (last year was 1960) was a true yellow in my opinion. Coronet Cream was another light color, but it was only for the 100. C.C. looks to be more khaki than white.

Me too.

Old English White (Ditzler Code WT-3)

However, if you want that exact color find a paint shop that has a computer matching capability and they can do it for you.

The color sample I have of OEW is less yellow and more dusty grey. I don't think that car is original OEW. When I had my car painted a few years ago, they showed me over 30 shades of white including OEW. When taken outside and compared them, I did not like OEW next to some of the other whites. I wanted a little warmth and chose 1996 Mozda off white made only that year. Looks like OWE until you see two side by side. I still have OEW (original color) in the engine bay and they are close enough that no one notices.
Find a paint shop who cares and has lots of samples. I went with a Hot Rod shop. They listen and are fast compared to someone who does collision work for insurance companies and need to get insurance work out fast.

Ivory is what that shade was called on the side curtain cars. Later referred to OEW. The car in the picture looks to be the right shade . My 62 tri carb was Ivory and my 62 MGA the same shade of white. I had a gallon mixed to match the MG's paint where weather hadn't seen it and it has a lot of yellow in it , more so than Wimbledon White ( a common Ford shade sometimes used for OEW). When the original paint was exposed to sunlight it bleached out a lot of the yellow and just left an "off white" look.

I agree that is a very nice colour however you have to consider the light conditions at the time the picture was taken, that has a huge affect on what the colour actually appears to look like in the photo. It is probably the light that is making the car appear yellowish.

OEW and Ivory were the same colour. Only the name changed. Snowberry is an MG colour I think.

Hi Bill
I am painting my car on Old English White. It's actually a new Mini colour called Pepper (Old English) White. It's a bit hard to tell from the pictures, but it's a very nice colour. Slightly cream but not yellow. I have some videos on Youtube which may show the colour a bit better, but I think it's a good modern equivalent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tqurkb-UFI

I have been told that when Bueyes for instance were being produced paint was purchased from the lowest bidder on almost a weekly basis. So this weeks OLd English White might be slightly different then last weeks supply.

The cars were produced so quickly to get them out of the door that probably no two cars were ever the same color . It depended on who the paint guy was that day and how much paint did they have on hand . You only have to look at the endless debate about BRG and what is the correct tone , same with Healey blue it goes on forever . Yes they had color chips as a guide but that's all they were .

Thank you all for your help. Oxford, I believe that Pepper white is what it will be. great work on your car. I appreciate your help.
