Re: What does this go to?

I'm just trying to decide if I need to keep it or junk it.

Re: What does this go to?

There was a thread in the TR forum -I think- recently about overflow bottle installation and benefits. Whatever you do, don't pitch it. I'm sure you would find someone more than willing to have it for the postage.

Re: What does this go to?

Having an overflow catch tank for the radiator is a good idea.

PS - it isn't British, it is after market.

Re: What does this go to?

If it was not on the car originally, why would you need to install one.

One reason is that it's required for racing.

Re: What does this go to?

Another is that some cars had overflow pipes with no catch tanks. They just overflow onto the ground. Some people don't feel right about that these days. For good reasons. Sort of like the old draft tubes for crankcase ventilation.

Re: What does this go to?

First, a catch bottle helps if you overheat (antifreeze is sucked back into the radiator when it cools). Second, most antifreeze has a sweet smell, but is deadly to pets and wildlife. I understand that it is extremely painful for the animal to be poisoned this way.
