My father got the King Dick when he was servicing aircraft. They were first class then. The Britools came later.
I bought the Williams Superslim as a set in 1964, the year I got married.
All in good shape, and quality about even. Never opened the jaws on an oe spanner, and the 12-point ring and sockets work better than some 6-point I've come across.
I have come across some sets, a little lower quality than Britool and King Dick but they fit all whitworth sizes. I dont suppose any one would be surprised to find out they were made in India.
My set is labled "Bedford-Vadnium" The other side proudly proclaims "Made in England" and they are dual-labled in both British Standard and Whitworth sizes.
I got them on Ebay from the U.K.,used, I watched MANY auctions before I got a good deal. I wound up with twice as many wrenches for the same price as a King Dick set. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
