OK, here are a few,
I have been dying to go as the severed head of John the Baptist on a Plate. basically the tablecloth with hole to cover body - big cardboard circle for table top and then foil covered cardboard for plate.
Went one year In black suit black sunglasses (think Men in Black) as one of the spies to Canaan
Another year a shepherd with every one of my daughters stuffed lambs dragging after me on a string,
she also had a pull on little ballerina tutu (just an elastic with ruffles) put it around my face and went as a Lily of the Field.
My wife's most famous was going as Jonah in the Whale. went out and bought a length of grey/blue carpet foam underpad, cut it in three pieces, two matching whale shaped sides with a BIG mouth and a third filet that connected to two underneath. Stapled them together - mostly with you in it and Bob's your uncle - I wore it one year and it was fun but hot.

I'm goin with JPs spy of Canaan idea. Got me some sunglasses, a CIA hat, and an earphone. Gonna wear a bathrobe too. (Hey its bible characters!) I bet the kids think it's funny.
