What Are These?

In the process of working on the top, I came across a couple things on the car that are a bit of a mystery to me. I'm sure you guys can tell me that these items are:

Item 1: The clip hanging off the mounting for the bows. It looks like it takes some kind of belt. Same clip is on the opposite side. My guess is this was some kind of restraining system for cargo that was placed behind the front seats?

Item 2: The mounting socket on the wheel well. It's too far back and too perpendicular to be a seat belt mount. I'm thinking this may be a mounting bracket for a roll bar, or perhaps some kind of cross member to stiffen up the vehicle for racing?

Item 3: This switch on the steering column. I've actually been aware of this one for a while, but haven't thought about putting it out there until now. I've seen this switch on other Spridgets. On this car, it doesn't seem to do anything. I'm thinking this may have been a switch for fog lamps, but there doesn't seem to be any evidence that the car ever had them. Other thought was a nitrous switch, a la Fast & Furious, or more likely a passenger seat ejection switch, a la James Bond. :glee:

I think #1 was for a seat belt holder, #2 is for a seat belt, #3 is for the dash lights.

Thanks!

BTW - Where in Louisville are you located? My wife has family in the Highlands.

I'm in the Lyndon area (a few miles East of the Highlands). My Sister lives on Douglass Blvd in the Highlands. That is a nice (and sometimes quirky) area of town.
