TR4/4A What are these Tabs

:cool: On Monday (Memorial Day) I installed the top on my 1962 TR4 and the restoration is now 100% complete.

I do have a question. What are these tabs on the Robbins Everflex top? They were not on the old replacement top that came with the car when I bought it.

As you can see in the lower right corner of the attached photo, they are by the top of the left and right B posts.

I have those on my Spitfire top. The only thing they do is get caught between the door and weather striping to keep the front edge in place.
 
The Spit driver is right. That's Triumph's somewhat crude method to insure that you can roll up your window while moving and the rain stays on the outside. Never had that problem with TR3s.:congratulatory:
