So, a guy in our little village asked Jerri y'day if I ever bought Triumphs...then he told her where there was a TR6 for sale....so, today she went to preview it & got the owner's wife to set a price (he wasn't there)....then, she described it to me in pretty good detail (body, interior, wood, appearance of engine compartment) & compared it to a couple of cars I've got sitting around that are duplicates of ones in my collection....it appears to be a solid, original car that's been sitting out in the weather for some time....she told the guy's wife I'd be home in a week & would stop by but that she felt their expectations were a bit high.

...then she asked me if I wanted her to go back with a few hundred dollar bills to buy it!!

She's a keeper Tony! Slappin' cash on the hood always works.

Obviously she watches the farm while your out and about. And YA! cash always draws a response. Let us know what happens Dave

You've got her trained good, Tony. What a find!

Outstanding performance there.
Can I send mine round for lessons?

Please.

Pretty please....

Over the years, she's watched me inspect & buy cars....obviously, it took!!

I'll take a look at it when I get home & may own a TR6!!

YEA! We're gonna make a believer outta Tony yet. hehehehehe
It'll start with a TR6, then he'll build a 2nd Garagemahal for Triumphs.. lesse, heck need a TR2 long door, TR2 short door, TR3, TR3A, TR3B, TR4, TR4A IRS, TR4A Solid axle, TR250, TR6, TR7 and a TR8 to cover all the US impotred TRs.
YOu could add a TR5 PI, all the different Marque Spitfires, a Stag, a Hearold, and several others including all the variations of hardtops... Hmmmm sounds like a lifetime obsession. Especially if you're already doing the same thing with MGs!

Really just want a Stag!!

.....& maybe a GT6

If your wife buys it for you, I don't think you can truly call it a "Stag" can you? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif

I ain't gonna comment here...

uh oh....Might wanna be careful there Tony, a TR6 will get you hooked on Triumphs.

and she offered to pay for it with her money. lol

I fancy the GT6 myself. There is an incredible looking Spit down the street from me. Been there for years and it does not look like they drive it much. Must.... resist...

I still have yet to go take a look at that Stag by me, Tony....the guy promised once the weather improved, and there's no sign of that yet.

I'll keep you in the loop. It's about 15 miles or so from Dick Leuning's place.
