What a VW this is

Eek! That's a Beetle???

What bugs me the most, that they used an early Beetle for the customization, it's hard to find a restored-to-original Beetle anymore, an original Beetle is more scarce than a custom Beetle these days...

Criminy!!*sp I havent seen anything that trashy since the 70's. 12G's....you gotta be kidding me.
Have fun

Doc!? You built a time machine out of a volkswagon? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
I'd hate to see the donor Delorean /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

I thought I had been redirected to one of those kinky adult websites! Yikes... I'll be seeing hot pink lettering for days. Gotta go find some eyedrops. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif

Saw it the other day, and thought "only in California". Which is probably not a fair stereotype...maybe...

It may be stashed in Laguna Beach, CA. but the ad does say; "It started once upon a time in the eighties...somewhere in Sweden..." Nobody can pin this monstrosity on sniffing guacamole and suntan oil.

I think the seller himself sums it up rather well; "The Pink Lady is not just another good looking Bug..." He's sure got that right.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to disinfect my monitor. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif

I agree with you, Sherlock. I hate to see vintage bugs "transformed". I once was selling a nice '57 oval bug and a young lady was all excited to buy it and have her brother "baha" it. I told her I changed my mind and wouldn't sell it. Subsequently I "interviewed" the next buyers and found a good home for it.

I don't care what year beetle they used. That would be a travesty if it happened to any bug.

Well, some people are said to have more money than brains, this would be a clear example.

WOW!.............
While were on the subject of Bugs anyone know what a 73 Super Beetle is worth, it's a "restored" car with a cheapo pearl paint job, new carpet, tires, rims etc.
Also what is the difference between a super Bettle and a regular Beetle???(I am new to all this Beetle stuff lol)

Thanks
Zack

A "super beetle" was slightly larger(more interior room, longer wheelbase) than an "Original beetle". As for price, that hinges mainly on how solid the floorpans and rockers are.

'73 supers are not a particularly desirable car among bug guys... The price may still range considerably based on the quality of the restoration and as was said, the underpinnings. Definitely crawl under the car, look under the "trunk" lining, pull up the rear seat and look under the mats to check for rust and repairs. Drive the car and check all speeds for shimmy (in the super its not likely due to out of balance tires). Prices go from about $1500 to 6500.
