What a day. I'm in love!

You must be referring to the 1933 TT which Nuvolari won overall in a K3. This car was built for the 1934 TT after new regulations banned superchargers. Nuvolari was to pilot this car in the race but at the last minute had a sponsorship conflict. It seems the oil company that sponsored him did not like the fact that M.G. used a different motor oil in their race cars. So Nuvolari was replaced by Bill Everitt. He won the race outright.

sweet!

forgive my ignorance....but in the last pic, what is the round thing? and i dont mean the tire...lol

I think Steve looks pretty good in there. If I were to paint something like this however, I would have to take the "wet your pants grin" off of him. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Got to have a serious look on your face for a proper illustration. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I think one of the men who actually drove the car in it's day would be neat, but I'd take one of myself if my arm were twisted. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Cliff, if you actually do want to paint the car, I'm sure I could arrange for you to see it in person. I have dozens of photos of the car also.

Wow, what an amazing car!

That would be a fantastic opportunity, count me in as one of the many envious folks... nothing that exciting ever happens in Alberta...

Some nice looking photos of it that you have as well.
