What a boring weekend for midgets.

Tuesday I broke the ice in the bird bath when I went out in the morning; Wed. evening wife and I put on our long underwear to watch our 12 year old grandson play soccer in the evening; it drizzled just a bit so not bad; the temperature read-out in the car as we left at 9:45 pm was +3C (about 38F). It's been a pretty poor Spring here-abouts, with temperatures lower than normal.
BUT! beautiful day today! Took the Buell out for 90 miles and it ran tickety-boo, and going out for a run tomorrow.
The Rivergate 5 speed kit came on Thursday, so will start plugging away at that next week.
And I worked for a couple of months in the United Arab Emirates a few years back: no motorcycles there in Oct., but things were cooling down and we started seeing them in Nov. Don't remember ever seeing any LBCs though.

I think its been a colder spring everywhere. We had 35 degrees here Early Wednesday morning and that was a record low for mid May. I had to go in to work yesterday due to major machine problems with a manufacturing line. I rod the bike and then after 8 hours (6-2) I went for a nice bike ride. It started pouring rain but I didn't care, it was warm. I headed from Hendersonville, where I work down 176 through some small towns and ended up on highway 11 and then up 276 to brevard just as Hap was talking about. Kind of nervous though, the road being wet and curves sharp. It would indeed be a nice ride in the midget. I must do that one day.

It was perfect today, bright sun, white fluffy clouds here and there, 75, I had such a great run earlier I took my wife back out and made her drive. I was nervous, she was a bit cocky, shortly into the run something smelled hot, then I noticed the e-brake handle still sticking straight up in the air, oops.
On the way home we turned in front of an RB midget so we had a little parade for a while.
Too FUN!!!

Clear & Sunny about 70' this weekend up here in Northern Ontario, saturday rebuilt master cyl, bled brakes & flushed rad ... that requires a test drive - so off I went for a couple hours , then today I adjusted the carbs, so that required another test drive... and ended up stopping for ice cream - Perfect weekend !

Yeah, kinda rained alot here this weekend, got thje car out, and about the time I did it statrted pouring down.

Oh well, I'm putting on a big poker run to Helen Ga. next weekend for the car club, abnd anyone else that wants to go we'll be taking on some good curvy roads in the Georgia mountains, hopefully the weather will hold out.

Miss Agatha was out today. Loved it, nice quiet ride listening to the exhaust, and watching the white clouds against the blue sky.

Lovely, just lovely.
