Up to the top of angelest crest and back. Cars running smooth speedo's working and dead on acurate brakes stop on a doe. Clean air on one side smoggy gacky air on the other. 26 ford gt's doing the same thing I'm doing and 4 parked ones. Makes a nice afternoon.

Word of warning for the locals there were a lot of deer on the upper portion of the road.

Lotta money rolling up & down them hills. Great views.

Why do people with a bunch of identical, brand new cars alway open their hoods?

Looks like a nice day. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Cause they over heat. Not like our little cars.

Super! So what's the route you take, exactly? Sounds like something I should do, but perhaps first in the 911. Is there a watering hole at the top or something? (Not sure I would trust Harold's brakes yet on those mountain roads!)

It's about 100 miles from pasadena to the top and back. Newcomb's is about 27 or so miles in road ends at 39.7 or something like that. There is also a little hole in the wall place if you turn left towards palmdale where the road splits just after the head light on section ends. Its a few miles up that road right after the tunnel. Foods decent and its a good place to stop for a drink. If you keep heading up the road from there you can make a right on upper big Tujunga and rejoin 2.

Thanks! Sounds like a good trip.
