Just got word that my kit has left Southampton on the Copenhaven Express due to dock in NYC on 11/22/06. I figure a week to clear customs & another 2 weeks or so should have it @ my door.
Spent yesterday installing the Phantom Grip LSD unit in the differential: went pretty easy, just had to take off ~1/16" from the gear faces to allow it to fit correctly. I used my belt sander & polished it up on a piece of glass with sandpaper. Also used the uprated springs to give more of a lockup effect. Today I plan on painting the shortened driveshaft and installing the new seal on the steering box before servicing it with oil.

Woohoo! With the proper luck, you might even have it in hand before the end of the year.

I recently dug out one of my books of Peter Egan articles, and re-read his articles on building a Westfield kit and driving it 1/2 way across the country. Sure sounds like a nice little car, should be a fun project.
 
I am hoping for early December, I have all the parts except the engine ready to bolt in, APT says that we are on track for mid January delivery and 115hp.
The Egan articles were one of the reasons that I bought the kit, that and this years EVO series of the build and trip to the Classic Le Mans. Those are online @ <westfieldeleven.com> along with some others as well as some really cool video!! Great head to head with a 550 Spyder replica....
