Westfield kit

mind you I still like the Dax rush quadra and v8

Is it just me or does it appear the guy is going into most of those turns waay early... apexes seem to be much deeper than he's driving to.

...mebbe it's just wide-angle lens distortion.... or swamp gas.

Looks like a lot of fun.

But I'd want something a little more viable for street use.

And build it in my garage for under ÂŁ20K is a little more than my budget would run. Particularly since they do (or had) a very, very nice Lotus XI kit that could be done for rather less....

Doc. you think he's going in early and powering out through the apex all the way? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

Looked cold, and as much as it was moving
around, the driver looked to be a little
inexperienced...

But it did look like a lot of fun...

I E-mailed the company and this is the info they sent me....

Dear David,

Thank you for your interest in Westfield Sportscars. Our company, Manik
Technologies, is the exclusive North American dealer and importer for
Westfield and we would be happy to provide you with any additional
details
on their cars, including options, pricing, registration and shipping.

We are very excited that the Westfield XTR2 kit is now available in the
US
at a starting price of $25,490, plus the cost of freight from New
Jersey
to your location. The above kit price includes custom crating, and
trans-Atlantic shipping from Westfield's factory to the port in New
Jersey
(including all import duties, fees and insurance).

The current lead-time on all kits is approximately 6-7 weeks, followed
by
a 3-4 week shipping time to New Jersey. I can give you the inland
freight
rates from New Jersey to your location if needed.

I must point out that the XTR2's lack of a windshield and wipers might
make it difficult to register for road use in some states. If you can
let
me know what state you would be registering the car in, I can give you
some better information.

Please find the XTR2 brochure linked here:
https://www.westfieldxtr.com/XTR2_Complete_Kit.pdf

And our extensive website on the XTR2 can be found here:
https://www.westfieldxtr.com

We also have a comprehensive build guide for the XTR2. The price is $55
shipped, refundable off the purchase of a kit. I would be happy to
discuss
any questions you may have. Please feel free to call or email.

Regards,

Wow! that is great!! What were they talking about it costing 40,000 pounds on Top Gear for? Given the current exchange rates that certainly does not translate to the $25,500 odd dollars mentioned above!!! That makes it a BARGAIN here!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

And I like the Gulf colors shown on their site...THAT is pretty...And in Fl. it could be registered!!
