I don't think the Brits would intentionally build a car that a lot of people can't fit into, which leads me to believe the human race is getting taller. A lot of fellas I know would like the seats to go further back for more leg room, in the T series anyway. :rolleyes2:

Maybe taller, but definitely larger  .

Actually we are, but I think it is over a longer period than since the T-series were built.

I was 6" taller than my father who was 6" taller than his father who was 6" taller than his father. Thankfully, my son didn't follow suit. Back in 2007 when we bought a new Mini Cooper, the sales literature said that they designed the car for folks up to 6'7". Close enough. On the passenger side, I can get my legs out straight in our MGB. Can't do that in many cars.

I had someone tell me that only in the last generation or two do we see Brits getting back to 'normal' proportions after the stunting effects of the Industrial Revolution and two world wars.

I’m on the shorter side. During college (Vietnam era) whenever I would get teased about my height I would tell my buddies not to worry because the bullets would be over my head.

Have you ever driven a '60's/early '70's Datsun or Toyota pickup?
