We're havin fun NOW I tell ya!!

I feel your pain. I've been fighting with my wiring for days now. Nothing except 1 headlight would work. I'm still not sure what the previous owner was attempting with the wiring but it was definetly a large scale fail on his account. I replaced the fuse block with a generic 4 fuse block from the auto parts store and most everything started coming back to life. most of the original harness is still there but the prior owner hacked away at it and reconnected everything to some strange places. Hopefully the Haynes repair manual I ordered will have a decent wiring schematic so I can check the wiring at the fuse block. Next it is fun rebuild time with the Zenith Carb for me. Yeah!!!

Check out the Advance Auto Wire site Dave referenced above. The B and Midget were wired with most of it (colors and devices) in common, should help you a ton. Otherwise the Bentley manual is the best source. And it sounds like you have some corrosion at the Lucar connectors to the non-functional lights. A gun barrel brush for .22 CAL is good for augering out those connectors.

Yeah I checked that out and it wasn't even close. I have to figure out the fuel gauge now to as it stopped working all of a sudden. I think its either the wire lead to the tank or the sender itself as the gauge doesn't seem to be broken.

There are a bunch of Lucar connectors at the right side bulkhead to connect the main harness to the one goin' to the back. Lights, fuel gauge, pump, etc. Check there for voltage with a test lamp.

It's like sheep herding. Minus th' dogs. :jester:

OH! And if ya ground the green wire at the sender to the tank ~momentarily~ the gauge should peg on "F". That'll tell ya quickly where to look next.

Movin' right along: Valve adjustment went without issue, Horsemits goaded me into painting the valve cover since it was off anyhow... THAT only added a few HOURS to the task.

This is a friend's car, I'm tryin' to get him up to speed with the BCF, too. He should be along directly.
